Community guidelines

These apply anywhere you interact with another person here, including study partners.

Treat people as colleagues

  • Assume the person asking a basic question is early in their training, not careless. Everyone was there.
  • Disagree about content, not about people. If you think an answer is wrong, say why.
  • No harassment, discrimination or abuse of any kind. This includes anything targeting someone's background, language, ability or experience level.

Protect patient privacy

Never post identifiable details about a real patient. Not their name, not their facility, not a description specific enough to identify them. This holds even in a private message to a study partner, and it holds after you leave the unit.

Study partners and groups

  • Only add people you actually want to share progress with. Both sides have to accept before anything is shared.
  • A group is wider than a partnership: every member, including anyone who joins later, sees the same aggregates. Share the invite code accordingly.
  • What others see is your readiness, streak, questions answered, mocks sat and accuracy by domain. They never see your individual answers, your email or anything you have not chosen to share.
  • You can remove a partner or leave a group at any time, and sharing stops immediately.
  • Nudge someone because you want them to keep going, not to needle them. It is limited to once every three days for a reason.
  • A leaderboard is not a scoreboard to gloat over. Whoever is bottom is the person most likely to quit, and most likely to improve fastest.

Do not share exam content

Remembered NNCC exam items are not permitted anywhere on this site. See the honor code for why.

Reporting

If someone breaks these, tell us. Accounts that harass others or post exam content or patient details are closed.
